My photography makes me happy. It gives me an excuse to get outside and a it’s particular way of looking at the world. I see things within a frame which allows me to concentrate on color and shapes in a way I might not otherwise. I like the details it brings out. It gets me looking for those details as I walk.
I also enjoy going over the photos later on. I realized that when I was looking at photos from yesterday’s butterfly walk. I have a certain spot where I usually find American Coppers. They are beautiful creatures with orange, black and gray coloring. They are also tiny, and it can be hard to sneak up on them for a close look. I use my camera instead of binoculars and then I can save the sighting for future viewing.

Thanks for looking,
Stay well, be curious, love diversity,
Kate
